¨Animals of the Earth Vol 1¨
Various Artists by Cosmovision Records
Inspired by our wildlife and in an exercise of global collaboration, Cosmovision Records launches its second compilation of various artists, exploring the collective creation of a musical ecosystem inspired by the animals of our planet.
¨Animals of the Earth¨ is a multicultural electronic music album where rhythms from around the world are in common inspiration. Contrasts from India, South America and Europe, rhythms like Downtempo, Dembow, Cumbia and much more gather here.
The album is already in Bandcamp, Soundcloud and joins the Cosmovision Records initiatives to support the indigenous movements in dispute over the construction of a massive pipeline in ancestral lands of various native cultures in present-day Canada.
The album donations from March and April plus the money gathered at the launch event on April 25 at Club Le Timis in Montréal, will go to help the Unist’ot’en Camp and will be part of the International Earth Day project of ¨DJs for Climate Action¨ organized by El Buho and friends and held the same night worldwide.
¨Animals of the Earth¨ The Story
The human race has lived and shared this space called Earth in the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, many cultures abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others, they started to predate on Earth like if this place, our Mother Earth was their property, extracting it’s resources, changing it’s landscape, killing the other animals and destroying it’s balance.
So far, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species are going extinct every single day. We need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How could the artists raise awareness regarding this?”
Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. In this project we gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album, where producers from many places on Earth tell us their personal stories with each animal, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

Inspirado en nuestra fauna y en un ejercicio de colaboración mundial, el sello Cosmovisión Records lanza su segundo compilado de varios artistas, explorando la creación conjunta de un ecosistema musical inspirado en los animales de nuestro planeta.
¨Animals of the Earth¨es un disco de música electrónica multicultural donde ritmos del mundo entero se encuentran en una inspiración común. Contrastes de India, Sudamérica y Europa, ritmos electrónicos Downtempo, Dembow, Cumbia y mucho más.
El disco ya está libre por Bandcamp, Soundcloud y se suma a las iniciativas de Cosmovisión Records para apoyar los movimientos indígenas en disputa por la construcción de un masivo oleoducto en tierras ancestrales de diversas culturas nativas del Canadá actual.
Las donaciones al album de Marzo y Abril más la recaudación del evento de lanzamiento que será el 25 de Abril en Club Le Timis, Montréal, irán en ayuda del Unist’ot’en Camp y el evento será parte del proyecto Internacional ¨Earth Day¨ de¨DJs for Climate Action¨, organizado por El Búho y amigos, y realizado la misma noche a nivel mundial.
¨Animals of the Earth¨ la historia
La raza humana ha vivido y compartido este espacio llamado Tierra en el reino animal durante millones de años, pero hoy muchas culturas han abandonado a idea de que los humanos son animales como los demás, comenzaron a predar la Tierra como si este lugar, nuestra Madre Tierra fuera su propiedad, extrayendo sus recursos, cambiando su paisaje, matando a los otros animales y destruyendo su equilibrio.
Hasta ahora, la humanidad ha exterminado al 83% de todos los mamíferos salvajes y la mitad de todas las plantas de la Tierra. Doscientas especies se extinguen todos los días. Necesitamos cambiar muchas cosas en áreas como el uso del plástico, el consumo de carne, energías contaminantes, sobreconsumo y más. ¿Cómo podríamos los artistas crear conciencia sobre esto?
Pensado de forma sencilla pero con la intención de ser Universal, Cosmovision Records presenta ¨Animals of the Earth¨ (Animales de la Tierra). En este proyecto nos reunimos a co-crear un ecosistema que habita en un álbum de música, donde productores de muchos rincones de la Tierra nos cuentan sus historias personales con cada animal, recordando que el cóndor, el conejo, el venado, la rana y todos los demás son nuestros compañeros en el largo viaje que este vivo y verde planeta, realiza en el Universo.
